ASR

1. Short for Automated System Recovery, ASR is a feature first found in Microsoft Windows XP that helps backup your system. To start the ASR open the Windows Backup Utility by following the below steps.

1. Click Start and then Accessories.
2. Click System Tools.
3. Click Backup.
4. In the Backup Utility click the option to show Advanced Mode.
5. Finally, click the Automated System Recovery Wizard button.

When running the Wizard, you'll need to insert a floppy diskette into the computer to backup the recovery files.
